I don’t think I have posted any Kirby Heyborne material yet. When you’re a “mormon celebrity” you have to work hard to keep your reputation untarnished. We all know that we shouldn’t judge others but we’re so good at it…RIGHT? Anywho. After being the star of several Mormon flicks Heyborne showed up in a Miller Lite commercial. He must have gotten a lot of flack for it because he later made the following video to clear his Peter Priesthood appeal.
One Sunday morning, an LDS bishop wakes up and decides to go golfing. He calls his first counselor and says that he feels very sick, and won’t be able make it to sacrament meeting.
Way up in heaven, an angel sees all this and asks God, ”Are you really going to let him get away with this?”
”No, I guess not,” says God.
The bishop drives about four or five hours away, so he doesn’t bump into anyone he knows. The golf course is empty when he gets there. So he takes his first swing, drives the ball 495 yards away and gets a hole in one.
The angel watches in disbelief and asks, ”Why did you let him do that?”
Or, is it a Demotivational Poster for the University of Utah? You decide. Mormons and their college football rivalry are usually good for humorous material. I could probably dedicate a whole section.
Orrin Hatch’s Hannukah Song is nothing like the Adam Sandler Hannukah Song or the Fireside Songs. This video probably wasn’t meant to be funny but I find myself holding back a little bit of laughter as I watch it.
This isn’t exactly funny mormon material but I thought it would be humorous to some of you. Apparently, these guys put on a hoax of a Michael Jordan sighting in a restaurant in Utah. Like Michael Jordan would be eating at Mimi’s Cafe let alone even visit Provo/Orem for a rematch with Byron Russell. Here is the video. Enjoy.
Good Heavens is a comic strip by the same cartoonist that creates Zarahemla Times. This strip takes a ficitional look at life as an angel through humorous LDS goggles.
One of the LDS Institutes in Mesa, AZ puts on an annual film festival. These college kids make some funny videos like the Some Postman video. Here is another one called Dance The Kung Fu. The youtube account is also home to the Ninjormon.
Missionaries love to mess with neighborhood kids. I served in a Spanish speaking country and all the kids loved to practice their elementary school english on us. “Hey you Meesta!”, “Gud Moornink”. Anyway, sometimes they would ask us how to say different phrases in English. We would change the phrases on them for fun. For example, they might ask, “How do you say, ‘I am the best’, in English?” Well, we would tell them something like, “I’m a weenie!” They would then continue to yell, “I’m a weenie!”. Every time we would see that kid he would yell, “I’m a weenie!”
